Maya pka Landry American Bulldog Puppy Female in Sidney, Nebraska

My story
WHY DOES NO ONE SEE THIS SWEET FAWN MASTIFF FUSION PRINCESS Maya previously Landry Located in Eastern NE1 year oldAmerican Bulldog/ Mastiff/Labrador/Boxer mix is our best guessIn her current foster home she has done great with male dogs of various sizes but HATES the other female dog, so... NO FEMALE DOGS IN THE HOMEShe does FANTASTIC with cats who are use to dogs. Cats that aren't and hiss and run she will chase. ‍Good with kids, in her current foster there are several and she loves them, but she's still a baby and she can be hyper, a little nippy with toys and she's super strong so keep that in mindHouse trained Perfectly crate trained and knows basic commandsLoves the couchOnly chews on toys Fully vettedVery strong, typical mastiff mixLOVES car ridesReally wants to be a lap dog Must have a 6' privacy fence NOT A DOG PARK DOG65-70lbs approximately  While she has done ok with the male dogs in the home she would also be well suited to be an only dog also. Maya has had a long go of it in rescue, she's been in rescue on and off since she was born. No one seems to see her she's just another tan dog, however she is SO much more! If someone would just give her a chance to thrive in their home and family!  Maya, (previously Landry), is one of Tatums puppies. Maya has been in her current foster home for months. Her current foster must go on the road for work and Maya cannot go. Maya also doesn't like her female dogs, however her foster had juggled her for months because she absolutely ADORES Miss Maya May. She's so sad that Maya must move but she also knows she cannot keep her, she cannot go on the road living in a trailer with a dog who hates and is reactive the female dog, it's just not possible. Further, Maya deserves SO much more. Maya deserves a home, she deserves her people! We are certain that her family is out there!  Maya's HistoryMaya originally went to a foster to adopt home but that just didn't work out, not due to her at all. When it became clear that wasn't an option for her or ANY HPPAW dog she was moved to a long term foster. That foster home adored her, they had a cat that she tried to play with but the cat wasn't a fan. They ended up having to move to another state however they had a coworker who was interested in adopting. They met Maya and adopted her at the end of last Summer and we heard nothing else for months. We were contacted at the end of November by the husband stating that they had decided that due to some behavioral issues Maya wasn't a good fit and they needed to "move on," or she would need to go to a shelter or be euthanized. This was obviously shocking and heartbreaking to us.We asked for details as to the behavioral issues and contacted the trainer who they consulted ONCE. Their main concerns at the training secession were:She "zones in" on a person and jumps at them sometimes nipping. The older kids and adults are fine but with the younger kids this was an issue. She chases catsLeash reactive to other animals The trainer gave them several exercises to work on to help these concerns but it was obvious that wasn't done. If you do not do the homework the training is 100% pointless. Either way at this point we would not allow her to stay there as the conversation was beyond concerning. We moved Maya to another foster home and she has done wonderful and has shown NONE of those behavior concerns leading us to believe that it was mostly environmental, which happens. As discussed above the current foster home LOVES Maya, however she has a female dog and Maya is not a fan of female dogs. Maya has done fine with the male dogs in the home. Maya also adores the cat, however the cat is also dog knowledgeable, so if there is a cat in the home, the cat needs to be dog experienced. Maya's foster goes on the road for work during the Spring/Summer months and being Maya doesn't do well with the other female, plus 4 large dogs in a trailer, just isn't a solid plan. So, we are looking for another safe, patient and loving home for her to land. Maya has waited the majority of her life for her people. She has so much to offer and is such an amazing dog, she just needs someone to give her a chance, to open up their home and heart to her. Y'all, she's so insanely deserving.  To set Maya up for success Maya would do best in a FURever home familiar with strong dog breeds. We are willing to pay for a couple secessions with a trainer if adopted/fostered in Eastern NE.  Original PostLandry was being adopted by her foster family and unfortunately they have now changed their mind. The problem is we have turned down several adoption applications for her believing she was being adopted by her fosters. Now she's available again as she isn't getting along with their chihuahua. She is also a protective dog, as mastiffs are, and needs a mastiff experienced owner. We believe that some of the issues are environmental as this is the 2nd dog that had had the same issues with this family. Her foster family also just had another baby and it's just a lot for Landry. She is a sweet and happy go lucky girl who loves her people and deserves an amazing FURever family!  If interested please contact us! $200.00 Adoption Fee (The $200.00 is considered a nonrefundable donation and being we are a 501c3 organization it is tax deductible.
